Can your signature bring you business? You bet it can.
I’m not talking about your hand written signature, I’m talking about your email signature.
This simple little 3 lines of text is one of the most valuable pieces of real estate on the Internet.
Ok, so I hear it already… “But I have a signature already. That’s simple!”
You’re right it is simple but are you REALLY using it as an effective tool to help market your business? Most likely not.
Here’s what I mean here. Most email signatures look something like:
John Doe
Fancy Title
Company Name
Phone
www.companyname.com
john@companyname.com
Look familiar?
But let’s think about this.
- First, no one cares about your title.
- If they are reading your email, they likely have your email address.
Two lines of wasted text already.
A better use of this space is to add a Call To Action under your main signature information. Take a look at this one:

See how this has less information but has a call to action below my main signature?
It has a call to action that will strike people’s curiosity and cause them to take a look at the link. They go to the page and if it still interests them, they will sign up to find out more.
Pretty simple, right.
Nothing says you have to always include the same signature each time either. You can write up a 4-5 different signature files with offers like this one and rotate them as you see fit.
The key here is to include a call to action on something that will strike their emotional hot buttons and get them to click the link to check it out.
This simple little thing alone can get more visitors to your website without having to spend any more time, money or effort.
Give it a try and let us know how it works for you!
Very nice post I enjoy your blog keep up the good articles.
