So I am still hearing from a bunch of business owners complaining about the “down economy”. I don’t know about you but my business is growing each and every day. I know of a lot of other businesses doing the same thing.
So what is it that makes us different?
Well, let’s look at the movie industry and one movie specifically that might put it in to perspective for you.
The latest Twilight movie just came out. People were going nuts over the whole thing. And…
It was a huge hit… again!
People stood in line for over 5 hours to watch the movie and it was sold out AGAIN! In case you don’t know, this is the third movie in the series. Each one gets more popular.

One of the people that I have learned much from has a question he asks during his events. It goes something like this “Do you want me to show you what I did to get where I am today or do you want me to show you what I am doing today?”
The gist is do you want to learn what I did each step of the way from the beginning so that you can follow my exact steps? This is a loaded question..
Most people will immediately go “Yes, yes, yes teach me every little step so that I may copy you and gain your success!”. But in this case the second half of the question is the most important. It goes:

What do you do for a living? I would venture a guess that this is one of the most asked questions in the world. At least in my world it is. If I leave the house and go out in public for ANY reason I rarely return home without having that conversation at least once.
In my world business is a constant. Why is that?

Did you know that it usually costs 10 times the cost to get a new customer than it does to get a repeat customer for your business? That’s a pretty big increase no matter how you look at it. So why is it that so many businesses never follow up with their customers after the sale?
Most of the time, as business owners and entrepreneurs, we spend out waking thoughts on “How do I get more customers?”

Anyone who is on Facebook with any sort of regularity knows that they change the site around on a regular basis. Depending on these changes the general public likes them or hates them.
I have a theory…
It is a FREE service so I have relatively little room to complain. I regularly go through my accounts settings and make sure everything is still good. I also don’t post things that I don’t want the world to know.
But every so often a rumor spreads like wildfire through a dead forest. Generally this rumor is about Facebook and some evil thing they are now doing to wrong us all.
One such rumor is beginning to spread this weekend. So I looked into it. I ALWAYS take the time to investigate these “rumors” before I go posting them and adding another match to the fire.
