As bookkepping says above, it’s all about your return on investment, NOT the cost of the campaign. If you get a positive return, it really shouldn’t matter the cost! Great tips Ely.

This sounds like a great idea. I’d never thought of this. I guess something I’d need to work out is how much would each “lumpy mail” package cost me and how would this compare with my likely return……………….I’ll look into it. Thanks.

I run my own Bookkeeping business and this year [for the first time] I invested in a ‘lumpy mail’ run and had some very positive results. I had 200 calculators printed with a grim reaper & my website name, plus ‘the bookkeeper cometh’. I research my top 50 companies that I wanted to advertise to and managed to get some ‘applicatble’ names that I could send my calculators to. By applicable, I mean the administrators, finance directors and HR people. I sent my first run out and within a week I had bagged 3 on my list, so Lumpy is good in my book
