Yes I agree, Cindy. I am surprised at how many people are up in arms over Facebook privacy. Just a bit of work you can limit access to anything on Facebook.
In fact I have created lists. Some people can see my phone number, address and email, and family photos with children. Others do not see the family photos with children but see the rest. Some can see my email and most of my photo albums. And one list can not even see my wall and have access to only one album.

"(side note: if you are setting things to “me only” then why are you posting them on Facebook to begin with? Just curious, this never made any sense to me… Anyway that is another post entirely :) "

Hahaha, I have been wondering that exact same thing for a while. FB is weird.

you bring up a plethora of good points there. Some people will either love it or hate it... though I do believe FB really needs to live up to it's expectations, get a new CEO who isn't a complete douche-bag and change things around for the overall better experience.

Just my 2 cents. But, whatever FB does people shouldn't complain much. As you said, 99% of what goes wrong is user error.

Thank you Cindy. It drives me crazy when people put on their victim hat and start screaming how they have been wronged by FB. Your right it is usually operator error.

Very good post. I consider you squirted a considerable amount of water on that bonfire.

Also I had no idea one needs to check the privacy settings periodically. How does it get changed? Or is it the fact that a user's desire to share this or that info changes with time? Most likely.

I feel a bit smarter about Facebook, thanks to you. Appreciate it.

I have to admit... Facebook makes me "skiddish. Since they are a free site... we have no basis to complain.

I really do appreciate the time and effort you put into this research. Fingers crossed.

Thanks again.
